英語(yǔ)專業(yè)四級(jí)考試近義詞辨析

　　在學(xué)習(xí)專業(yè)英語(yǔ)詞匯中，有時(shí)同義詞的辨析是很不容易的.，我們一般從三方面進(jìn)行區(qū)分，即：語(yǔ)法、語(yǔ)義和文體。語(yǔ)法主要是詞性、搭配、句式等的區(qū)分;語(yǔ)義主要是詞義的本義、引申義、比喻義和內(nèi)涵和外延等的區(qū)分;文體主要是正式和非正式、褒義和貶義等的區(qū)分。

　　1.事情,事件

　　(事) thing: An event, a fact, a subject. He talked of many interesting things.

　　(事情) matter: Seth that you have to deal with, something to be discussed, thought over. There are several matters to be dealt with at the meeting.

　　(事務(wù) 責(zé)任) business: A special duty, something that has to be done. Public business is every ones business.

　　(事務(wù)) affair: An event or set of connected events. (pl) private and personal life. I have many affairs to look after.

　　(事件) event: An important happening. Events such as birthdays and anniversaries are often celebrated. Do you know the chief events of 1986.

　　incident: Not as important as an event. Incidents seldom are celebrated. Sometimes an event becomes an incident after many years have passed.

　　(偶然事件) happening: An occurrence, and sometimes an unusual one. There have been strange happenings here lately.

　　(偶發(fā)事件) occurrence: An incident that is usually unexpected and has not been planned ahead of time. Flood is practically an annual occurrence in this district.
